he Fuel Foundation was established to drive change in our industry through research, education and independent studies, promoting forward thinking and in-depth analysis on the issues facing our business each and every day.

The Fuel Foundation’s education arm
has sponsored top notch presenters and industry experts at SIGMA meetings and in SIGMA publications to provide members with information, direction and insight for SIGMA members.

  •  Summary of 2020 ELC Workshop by John Eichberger, Fuels Institute, on Industry Challenges Ahead
  •  John Eichberger, Fuels Institute, "No Sign of Market Revolution n 2019 March/April IGM Magazine
  •  John Eichberger, Fuels Institute, "Use Forecasts to Inform Your Analysis," May/June IGM Magazine

The Fuel Foundation supports two valuable scholarship programs each year.  The mission of the Pay it Forward Scholarships is to help advance the education of SIGMA member company affiliated students with strong academics who are dedicated to community service through volunteerism. The Carl Boyett Industry Scholarships in honor of former SIGMA President Carl Boyett are awarded to employees who are actively pursuing or plan to pursue a degree, program, or specific training that will help advance or expand their career within their fuels industry company.

The Fuel Foundation is possible due to the generous contributions from individuals and businesses within our industry.  If you would like to make a tax deductible contribution and help further the education of an exceptional "pay it forward minded" student, please click here.
